A 2.5 year project in the making, Lead Catering had the opportunity to assist the developers and management team at Kruger Station in transforming the old Selati Railway Station in Skukuza into a must-visit and unique ‘Lifestyle Destination’ within the Kruger National Park.
Working in conjunction with well known Executive Chef Andrew Atkinson, Lead was instrumental in the kitchen design and supply of equipment to cater for the hungry Kruger tourist at Restaurant 3638. Our scope included not only the main kitchen with built-in wood burning pizza oven but two bars located on the station platform, walk in cold/freezer room, a Grab & Go Deli as well as the Departing Soon Cafe Coffee shop.
A real focus was placed into ensuring our client had the tools and equipment necessary to ensure they were to revitalise the culinary experience to what was previously on offer in the Park. Equipment selection included our Fagor range of Combi Steamer Ovens, Blast Freezers, Conveyor & Hood Type Dishwashers and balance of equipment fabricated to ensure a custom fit.
